Since it’s inception in 2001, the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) provided through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has enabled Junior Achievement organizations across Pennsylvania to maintain and expand existing programs to reach a much larger group of students. Specific to our area, Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania continues to grow and expand its reach throughout the region due to support through the EITC program.
At the conclusion of the 2010-11 academic year, JA programs reached over 60,000 students in western Pennsylvania. Despite rapid economic changes to our region, Junior Achievement continues to grow, while maintaining a solid financial foundation for future growth. EITC contributions are a key ingredient for our organization to maintain a strong presence in school districts across the region, and the state. Junior Achievement invites local businesses to support JA programs through the EITC program and below are some important documents for companies to participate.
